Enjoy Life even after Retirement
Retirement is a state of stopping your employment or your professional career. This process may involve the stage of one’s finishing position, occupation or active working life on acquiring elderly age. In simple words, the specified individual stops government service, private job or personal business. The term of retirement may also pertain to pulling back, retreat, recession, seclusion, obscurity or revulsion.
The general age of retirement is 58 to 60 year for most of the government services. However, it may be up to 65 years in private or business organizations after assessment of health and working skill of the employee.  Sometimes, the individuals choose to seek pre-retirement when they become eligible for private or public pension benefits .However, certain persons get compelled to retire before the specified age due to illness, accident, lack of renewed skill or performance, or involvement in illegal actions of working.
Pension on Retirement:
Now a days, many developed nations, have system to provide pension to the employees on retirement in old age. It is sponsored by the concerned government or by the employer. The full pension becomes due after regular service for 25 years and partial pension after 15 years. The spouse may also get the benefit of half the pension after expiry of the employee.  In certain cases, an additional bonus is provided (only once in the form of gratuity, encashment of personal earned leaves or a portion of group insurance scheme) in proportion to the years of work and average wages. A few more benefits may be available through general or contributory provident fund. The pensioner in India are also granted additional amount on increase of dearness allowance.   
List of problems after retirement:
A person after attaining age beyond 55 years, businessman, farmer or professional, may or may not develop physical characters of old age but acquires an internal feeling of this age. The problems in employees, working eminently on regular basis do not develop much strain and stress. However, certain difficulties may be faced after their retirement:
  • Disturbed Health--- skin may develop wrinkles, reduction and graying of hairs on head; tiredness and pain in arms or legs or involuntary muscles; slow recovery of fractures, if any; reduction in appetite, irregular diarrhea or constipation; breathing problem; increase or decrease in blood pressure; narrowing of blood vessels to vital organs; low level of hemoglobin; decrease in number of urinary tubules of kidneys, increase in quantity of urea or uric acid; reduction in memory and sleep; disturbance in sense organs; imbalance of certain hormones; reduction in immunity; ill effects of communicable or non-communicable diseases.
  • Situation of solitude and isolation--- The relatives, old colleagues, friends and neighbors do not care much after retirement. Therefore, the retiree feels neglected through previous associates. The problem becomes aggravated if the husband, wife, kid or close relatives get to heavenly abode.
  • Degradation in family and social status--- The regards and gratitude you deserved, gets declined with passage of time or old age. Then, a feeling of dejection over shadows your mind.
  • Financial weakness--- It may occur due to lack of pension, loss in business, failures in property or wealth, increased illness and shortage in savings.
  • Family disputes due to sharing of properties with brothers, sisters or descendents. But try to make amiable solution without quarrels or court of laws.  
  • Psychological problems of tension, mental disturbance and frustrations on retirement. The wicked actions of certain employees involved in bribery, greed, decoy and ego become the cause of depression.
Possible solutions to the problems:
Retirement is not a problem for everyone. There are diverse situations in the health of elderly population, family relations, financial conditions etc.   
  • Good Health can be maintained through proper and balanced diet rich in minerals, vitamins and fibers; avoid commercial, preserved and spicy food; take specified medicines and diet during disease; perform regular exercise and yoga with guidance from experts; refrain the use of non-vegetarian meals, alcohol and intoxicants; skip many sweets, sugary soda and desserts; consume sufficient, safe and pure drinking water; consider sickness with proper care and optimism.
  • The person on retirement can establish consultancy service, certain business, small industry or seek part time private job
  • Develop friendship with person’s similar age for meetings, conversation, discussion etc. Do not indulge in anger, quarrels, gambling and drug addiction.
  • Try to maintain record of your nice experience, solutions of old situations and moments of exaltations.
  • Follow good attitude and tolerance. Provide guidance, training and encouragement to the youngsters of the family about your experiences in job, profession or business.
  • Offer responsibilities to young ones. Mentor hundreds of youth without ill feelings.
  • Become financially affluent for self support and benefits of family. Conserve savings during earning age. Build up savings for your emergency or social security fund and health insurance. Make best investments through potential retirement planners.   
  • Access your failings and try for better performance to assure best results. Retirement tends to create a new challenge for life which can impel you to start a better chapter in your own way. People wish that you should stay active to perform enthusiastic actions.  
  • The central government of India and many other countries have launched special beneficiary projects for senior citizens.       
Make your living delightful:
A comfortable and safe retirement is delightful for every employee because of living longer and healthy life. The retiree can expect to spend better living as compared to the period during job or profession.  On an average, a person has 15 to 20 years of life remaining after retirement.  Everyone thinks about relief, some plan but some do not. However, managing the new situations with positive ideas provide great satisfaction.
You can manage to fulfill retirement with the idea of taking part time job. Feel independent to decide your routine activities, enjoy reading, writing, playing or listening music, or watching most entertaining channels on television; adopt and promote hobbies especially tree plantation; participate in social services at religious, educational and sports organizations. You can provide guidelines (on the basis of your knowledge, skill and prominent experience) to the youth for the progress in society and motherland. Persons with good health can manage travelling to friends, relatives, hill stations or famous places of their choice.   
Secure Divine Bliss:
Determine to attend religious congregations organized by spiritual guide. Acquire initiation of God Words to learn method of meditation. Cherish the bliss of prayers and meditation so as to visualize the reality of our most beloved Divine Lord. The regular punctuality in meditation should be observed to achieve sure success to overpower the obstacles of mind.  You can manage to arrange religious meetings and programs at your home. Do not crave for delights only at your own will through pretentions and ostentations, but gladly accept what is blessed by God. Become positive, humble and peaceful. Thus try to remain busy, involved in positive thoughts and actions. Always feel that retirement is neither a curse nor punishment. Always continue to praise for the persons continuing their jobs. The future can be the beginning of new endeavor, new joys and greater moments. Self realization and assessment becomes essential.  How you take up the fresh situations, it is up to you.
